I love the food in this fine japanese place Ichi Umi in Edison’s Menlo Park Mall. It’s just so darn EXPENSIVE! At $32 per person on the weekends (their weekend starts Fridays) it’s a bit much for a party of four. I’d like this place to be our ‘go to’ Japanese place but at that price, I don’t think it will be. It’s ok for special occasions maybe. A shame because their food is awesome! Tons of selection and very well trained staff. Their lunch price is $19 per person Monday to Thursday. I still squirm at $45 for a spur of the moment lunch for me and my wife. But if you have money to spare, Ichi Umi is one of the best Japanese buffet places around.
